at West Middle School
The Flex Farm produces up to 300 pounds of fresh lettuce annually while cultivating essential life skills. Applied Skills students develop responsibility through consistent plant care, tackle real-world problem-solving challenges, and build teamwork as they maintain the farm together. The lettuce they harvest is bagged and donated to the BCSC Food Pantry, giving students pride and satisfaction as they learn practical skills while serving their community.
