This is a fun hands-on summer adventure that your son or daughter won't want to miss! While at BEF Pioneer Camp, they will enjoy what life was like as an Indiana pioneer child while doing many fun projects and tasks. Every day at Pioneer Camp will be a new and exciting experience! Some activities that will occur this week include:

• cooking and making items such as ice cream, salt water taffy and ginger water

• catching bugs, rearing insects and learning about their life cycles

• building bird houses and gardening boxes to take home

• milking goats and fishing

• feeding and identifying birds

• playing games such as jump rope, sack races, tug-o-war, wheelbarrow races, jacks, and marbles

• weaving, embroidery and making braided rugs

• planting, weeding and gardening

• pioneer crafts

• music, instrument playing and dancing
